Job Description The Department of Psychology at the State University of New York atOneonta invites applications for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor of Developmental Psychology beginning Fall 2027 . Maintain an active research program. Participate in student involvements such as advisement,research supervision, and mentoring. Provide service to the department and university. Salary $64,890. Requirements Required Qualifications Doctorate Degree in Developmental Psychology, or a closelyrelated discipline. ABD considered; official confirmation of degreeconferral by issuing institution by start of employment. Ability to initiate and sustain a suitable researchprogram.?Specialization in late adulthood/aging, geropsychology, orgerontology in both teaching and research. Ability to teach online. Additional Qualifications Experience teaching developmental courses in aging,geropsychology, gerontology, end-of-lifestudies or similarareas. Preferred Qualifications Ability to teach courses in the core areas of our curriculum,especially research methods and statistics. Evidence of teaching effectiveness, capability of initiating asuitable and productive research program, and scholarlyproductivity. Demonstrated experience involving undergraduate students inresearch. Experience advising and mentoring undergraduate students. Experience in teaching, mentoring, research, or service withdiverse and/or multicultural populations.
