Description: Unit notes indicate the hiring process includes a profile review and an interview with the unit manager. The department has 3 X-ray rooms and 5 portable units. The technologist may have to float to cover additional areas such as a pain clinic when needed. Common imaging and studies performed include OR, portables, and outpatient exams. The average number of scans and studies performed per day is 20-30. The department uses Epic and PACS for electronic medical records and image management. Department-specific equipment includes Siemens rooms and Shimadzu and Carestream portables. In-house radiologists are available for interventional and diagnostic procedures. Technologists are not required to start IVs. No self-scheduling is allowed, and weekend requirements do not apply. Call is required, with a specified response time. Scrub color and dress code is royal blue or OR scrubs provided by the hospital. Department-specific orientation will be guided by the supervising technologist. The cancellation policy allows the facility to cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment and 3 shifts for shorter assignments. No holiday requirements, except possibly for Memorial Day if needed. Charting system used is EPIC. This position does not require a BSN. Trauma level is acute. Care setting is acute. Division is allied health.
