Develop professionally in a dynamic and supportive setting.Job DescriptionBusiness Development & Marketing Specialist OverviewThe Business Development & Marketing Specialist supports the firm’s growth and reputation through strategic marketing initiatives and client relationship management.Collaborates with attorneys, marketing professionals, and business services teams to drive business development efforts effectively.Conducts research on clients, prospects, and market trends to identify new opportunities and synthesize actionable insights.Prepares tailored proposals, pitches, and promotional materials to support business development initiatives.Maintains and updates the firm’s CRM system with key contacts and business development activities.Supports legal directory submissions and other profile-raising activities to enhance the firm’s market presence.Works in a hybrid environment, requiring three days per week in the office.Offers opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative and dynamic setting.Business Development & Marketing Specialist Key Responsibilities & DutiesConduct competitive intelligence and market research to support client meetings, pitches, and RFPs.Prepare comprehensive reports on clients and prospects, synthesizing relevant market data.Track docket alerts and company news for key clients, providing summaries to attorneys.Develop business development materials, including proposals, pitches, and tailored communications.Coordinate with various departments to facilitate business development activities effectively.Maintain records of business development activities and update client-matter descriptions.Assist with legal directory submissions and other promotional projects.Support additional projects as assigned by the Senior Business Development & Marketing Manager.Business Development & Marketing Specialist Job RequirementsBachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with 3-5 years of law firm marketing experience.Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to process diverse information sources.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proofreading and editing abilities.Proficiency in CRM systems and research tools like Westlaw, Bloomberg Law, and Capital IQ.Ability to build relationships with attorneys and stakeholders, aligning expectations and strategies.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize effectively.Creative problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity to drive innovative solutions.Willingness to work beyond standard hours as needed in a hybrid work environment.
