GED, Adjunct Faculty (NexStep)

NexStep is seeking passionate and dedicated faculty members to join our Adult Education team. As a GED Faculty member , you will help adult learners prepare to pass the GED exams, and earn their high school diploma. We are hiring for multiple part-time positions (6 hours per week, in-person) .

- Language Arts Classes : Mondays & Wednesdays, 9am-12pm and/or 6pm-9pm
- Math Classes : Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9am-12pm and/or 6pm-9pm
- Compensation: $32 /hr
- Worksite Location: Multiple NexStep Locations
- Create and maintain a classroom environment that supports adult learning and professional growth.
- Deliver engaging, interactive instruction using GED curriculum resources.
- Apply differentiation, small group strategies, and problem-solving approaches.
- Track student attendance and maintain necessary records and documentation.
- Provide constructive feedback to support student progress and academic achievement.
- Model and encourage strong work habits such as punctuality, cooperation, and professionalism.
- Participate in professional development to remain current in the field.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (experience may substitute for degree in some cases).
- Strong background in ESL, Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, or Math; K-12 teaching experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Energetic team player committed to positively impacting adult learners and the community.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
- Must pass a background check and maintain a valid Kansas driver's license.
