This is an exceptional opportunity to provide emergency medical care to our nation's Veterans in a fast-paced clinical environment where patient safety, quality, and compassionate care are top priorities.Working alongside experienced physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals, you'll care for Veterans with a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries while making a meaningful impact on those who have served our country.If you're passionate about delivering high-quality emergency care and are committed to serving the Veteran community, we'd love to hear from you.What You'll DoAs an Emergency Department Physician, you will provide comprehensive emergency medical care for Veterans presenting with a broad range of urgent and emergent medical conditions. Responsibilities include:Evaluate, stabilize, diagnose, treat, and manage patients with acute illnesses and traumatic injuries.Provide care for medical, surgical, psychiatric, cardiovascular, neurologic, respiratory, orthopedic, and trauma-related emergencies.Perform emergency procedures within your granted clinical privileges, including intubation, central and arterial line placement, cardioversion, procedural sedation, fracture reduction, lumbar puncture, and chest tube placement.Coordinate admissions, specialty consultations, interfacility transfers, discharge planning, patient education, and continuity of care.Maintain accurate and timely electronic health record documentation.Participate in quality improvement initiatives and, when applicable, supervise and mentor healthcare trainees.What We're Looking ForMD or DO with Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Emergency Medicine or Internal Medicine (ABEM, AOBEM, or ABIM).Current, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.Current DEA registration and National Provider Identifier (NPI).Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional, patient-centered care to the Veteran population.Ability to obtain facility credentialing and clinical privileges.ScheduleFull-time onsite contract position in a 24/7 Emergency Department.Rotating 8- and 12-hour shifts.Day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday coverage required.Multiple shift options available to support continuous patient care.Why Join AMI?At AMI Expeditionary Healthcare, you'll become part of a physician-led organization dedicated to delivering exceptional healthcare in diverse clinical environments around the world.
