The Department of Corrections is currently recruiting to fill two Correctional Enterprises Specialist Senior (Metal Stamp Specialist) positions. Position Summary This position is responsible for shop production, ordering shop supplies and materials, shipping and receiving products, product quality control, documentation, tool control, and tool usage. This position will require performance in a full range of routine and complex mechanical maintenance and repair, replacement and preventive maintenance of license plate equipment and be responsible for training and directing Persons in our Care on the maintenance and repair of production equipment. This position will review and make recommendations to the supervisor regarding purchasing of parts, labor and new equipment. This position needs to be versed in the use computers and multiple software programs for production, quality control, order management, and inventory information. The Correctional Enterprise Specialist Senior will demonstrate judgment and integrity, communicate effectively, be proactive, practice problem solving techniques, support continuous improvement, participate in day-to-day operations and promote accountability. Salary Information This position is in pay schedule and range 03-14 with a starting pay of $28.11. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A probationary period of one year is required.
