Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract opportunity offers both full-time and part-time schedules, ideal for professionals looking to foster growth in a close-knit, collaborative educational environment.

In this role, you’ll support approximately 500 SPED students within a district known for its kind leadership and engaged team. The director values clear communication and is ready to welcome traveling therapists who can provide documentation of their progress with the state's PED process. You’ll enjoy the unique dynamic of working at both Moriarty Elementary (caseload: 19) and Route 66 Elementary (caseload: 15), with occasional services for students at the neighboring high school—all easily accessible within a walkable distance.

Your Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored occupational therapy services to elementary and high school students with diverse needs, including intensive support for two students.
• Conduct evaluations, write reports, and design individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with educators, special education teams, and families to optimize each student's abilities and access in the educational setting.
• Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in compliance with PED requirements.
• For traveling therapists, coordinate updates and documentation regarding your move and PED process status.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active OT license; eligibility to practice within the state, with current PED documentation or willingness to obtain.
• Experience working in school-based settings or with pediatric populations strongly preferred.
• Ability to adapt interventions to meet varied student needs and environments.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, student-centered services.
