Diesel Mechanic

Position Location: Chesapeake, VA Schedule: Full-time, 7am-4pm Compensation: $20- $30 per hour based on exp. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair equipment to include heavy duty trucks, trailers, electric forklifts, and other equipment Conduct routine maintenance work on equipment Ability to complete paperwork for routine maintenance and requesting parts Diagnose and repair ABS brake systems Other duties as assigned Requirements Must pass drug screening High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship in automotive is preferred Associates degree is a plus Must have a valid driver's license State inspectors license a plus Experience in software such as Davie 4, Service Ranger, ESA, Diagnostic 8, Cummins a plus Must be computer literate and have the ability to be trained on software systems Ability to use shop tools to include hand tools, air tools, and electrical tools Frequently lift and move up to 100lbs Ability to stand, walk, and use hands with no physical impairment that might restrict working around on top of or under equipment Benefits Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision) Retirement Plan (401k with Company Match) Life Insurance (Basic and Voluntary) Paid Time Off 10 Paid Holidays Per Year Short Term & Long Term Disability #J-18808-Ljbffr Givens Incorporated
