Production Supervisor

Job TitleThis role is responsible for leading daily operations across air-cooled chiller assembly lines within the value stream.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn a zero-incident culture; ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with EHS standardsConduct daily 5S & safety walks, identify hazards, and drive immediate countermeasuresLead incident investigations and implement corrective and preventive actionsReinforce safe behaviors through coaching and accountabilityLead multiple air-cooled assembly lines to achieve daily/weekly production targetsManage labor allocation to meet takt time and adapt to product variabilityEscalate and remove constraints impacting throughput in real timeEnsure effective shift handoffs and clear communication of prioritiesEnforce adherence to standard work and quality processesDrive containment and resolution of defects; partner with Quality and Manufacturing EngineeringLead root cause problem solving (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone) to eliminate recurring issuesSupport layered process audits and drive accountability for findingsIdentify and execute opportunities to improve labor efficiency, throughput, and flowSupport and lead kaizen events and daily continuous improvement activitiesSustain and improve 5S standards across all areas of responsibilityPartner with Industrial Engineering to optimize line balance and standard workDirectly lead and develop a team of hourly operators and team leadsSet clear expectations, provide daily feedback, and conduct performance managementBuild team capability through training, cross-training, and skills developmentFoster a culture of accountability, engagement, and ownershipPartner with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance to resolve issuesEnsure material availability and escalate shortages impacting productionSupport new product introductions, equipment ramp-ups, and process changesDrive key metrics: safety, quality (FPY, defects), delivery (attainment), and cost (labor efficiency)Lead daily tier meetings and ensure issues are tracked, prioritized, and closedMaintain accurate production reporting and visual managementRequired QualificationsBachelor's Degree2+ years of experience in manufacturing or operations leadershipPreferred QualificationsExperience with lean manufacturing principles (standard work, 5S, kaizen, visual management)Familiarity with brazing, leak testing, electrical systems, and final test processesExperience with MES systems and production tracking tools.Proven ability to lead frontline teams in a fast-paced, high-mix environment.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skillsPay RangeThe annual salary for this position is between $64,500.00 - $129,500.00 annually.
