Project Scheduler

Description Leidos Engineering is seeking a Project Scheduler to assist in the oversight and coordination of projects for a large electric utility client. The role involves client‑facing responsibilities and requires expertise in scheduling complex projects and programs related to the planning, design, and construction of electrical grid infrastructure, as well as navigating the regulatory landscape to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. This position is part of the Strategic Program & Project Consulting team within Leidos' Power Delivery Solutions Division, providing consulting services to both public‑owned and investor‑owned electric utilities. Location: Hybrid with remote working capabilities; periodic travel to client sites in Kentucky, including Louisville and Lexington, is required. Candidates should be located in these areas. Career Development Opportunities Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Formal mentorship programs Learning & Development resources Technical upskilling programs Leadership training Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and drive engineering and construction schedules for transmission and distribution projects across the United States. Use earned value management techniques to ensure schedule and cost alignment and develop recovery plans to stay within approved limits. Partner closely with Engineering Leads and Managers to track and execute client deliverables. Produce weekly/monthly project control reports for client and internal management, including resource loading analysis, critical path items, and risk analysis. Interface directly with the client and internal management to report progress, schedule, and risks across a portfolio of electrical distribution projects. Assist the project manager with the creation and maintenance of project dashboard reports and KPI tracking. Background Requirements / Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or Finance. Minimum of three (3) years of Primavera P6 scheduling experience. Recent, in‑depth knowledge of electric power infrastructure projects within transmission or distribution design. Capability to plan, organize, direct, and track technical efforts on assigned tasks. Ability to track cost and schedule status of assigned tasks. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with MS Project, MS Office suite, and advanced MS Excel. Preferred but not required experience with Louisville Gas & Electric and Kentucky Utilities. Pay Range $65,650.00 – $118,675.00. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation. Final offers may consider responsibilities, education, experience, and other factors.
