As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Patrol Coverage in Rosedale, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $20.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTime Wed 02:00 PM - 06:00 PM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate. Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including public areas, operational spaces, and perimeter points, to help identify and report concerns. Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry to restricted areas in accordance with site protocols and location requirements. Support day‑to‑day operations by observing for suspicious behavior, reporting hazards or maintenance concerns, and/or assisting with directions and general inquiries. Minimum Requirements A New York State Security Guard License is required. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
