Minneapolis, Minnesota Position: Traffic Administrator Primary Objective of Positio n:The Traffic Administrator is responsible for managing all domestic and international inbound and outbound shipment Major Areas of Accountabili ty:Negotiates contracts with specialized carriers for truck load, super load, ocean freight, railroad, UPS and courier servi cesDetermine best mode of transportation by using an outline drawing to estimate the weight and dimensio ns.Arrange LTL shipments through Insight TMS Por talPackaging and shipping of small packages with UPS, FedEx and DHL Express. Must work closely with Final Assembly and Crating te amsProduce documents for domestic and international shipments, which include Bill of Lading, Packing List, Shipper’s Letter of Instruction and the Commercial Invo iceObtains transportation quotes for Sales Departments, New, Aftermarket, and Rep airPrepare state permit letters for super lo adsAudit Freight Invoices for Finance Departm entFile IRS Form 2290 Heavy Use Tax annua Knowledge/Skills/Abilit ies:Basic knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations for truck ing.Demonstrate a high degree of personal and professional ethics and integrity.
