Position Summary for Paralegal:

To provide essential legal and administrative support to attorneys by assisting with case preparation, document management, legal research, and client communication. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist in all phases of case management, including pre-trial, and post-trial activities

· Draft, revise, and proofread legal documents

· Conduct legal research and summarize findings

· Organize and maintain case files, both electronic and physical

· File legal documents with courts (including e-filing systems) and ensure compliance with deadlines

· Coordinate and schedule meetings, depositions, hearings, and court appearances

· Communicate with clients, courts, and external parties in a professional manner

· Track deadlines and manage attorney calendars to ensure timely case progression

· Assist with billing, time tracking, and expense reporting as needed

Qualifications:

· Associate or bachelor’s degree

· 1+ years of paralegal or legal assistant experience

· Knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and court systems

· Experience with legal research tools and document management systems

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

· Working knowledge of macOS

· Excellent organizational and time-management abilities

Preferred Skills:

· Experience with e-filing systems (stand and federal courts)

· Familiarity with case management software

· Ability to work independently and handle confidential information

· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Work Environment:

· Office based

· Small law office

· 25-hour work week (Currently available part-time, with the opportunity to transition to full-time in the future)

· Casual attire
