Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a dynamic school-based environment supporting elementary students (ages 3 through 5th grade) as an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. In this on-site, full-time contract role, you'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse caseload, focusing on academic life skills, high-level autism, communication challenges, and behavioral needs—with district-supported resources and a robust mentoring program to guide your growth.

This position begins August 10, 2026, and concludes June 8, 2027, offering a 35-hour workweek. Flexibility is built in: develop your own schedule for student sessions and documentation, collaborating with the building administrator to best meet your caseload's specific needs. The district understands the unique demands therapists face, providing dedicated hours for direct services and the autonomy needed while working across potentially several schools (details to be discussed during your interview).

What you’ll bring:

• Active Maryland OT license (OTR/L or COTA/L)
• Experience in school-based settings highly preferred
• Comfort working with students on the autism spectrum, those with complex communication and behavioral needs
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to adapt to changing caseloads and multiple school locations
• Team mindset and willingness to collaborate with educators, families, and other support staff

What you’ll do:

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for elementary-aged students
• Provide direct OT services as scheduled
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and district staff to promote functional skill development
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP development
• Maintain timely documentation in line with district protocols
