Chemical Analyst

Responsibilities

Perform chemical analysis and physical property testing of materials and products.

Research, design, and develop new production processes.

Coordinate and perform tests.

Analyze data to develop conclusions.

Communicate results of analysis and research.

Evaluate current processes and develop improvements to safety, quality, and efficiency.

Create standards and specifications for processes, facilities, products, and tests.

Assist in the establishment of timelines and budgets.

Install, maintain, and inspect equipment and facilities.

Perform routine calibration and troubleshooting of instruments.

Provide training and mentorship to technical staff.

Responsibilities may change due to business needs and according to candidate performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry required.

2+ years of experience.

Excited to work on a small, fast-paced startup team.

Results-driven, outcome-focused, action-oriented approach with a collaborative operating style.

Strong data-based decision making, problem solving, prioritization, and risk mitigation skills.

Strategic agility, with the ability to create or adjust plans to achieve targets in a dynamic environment.

Understanding of lab and industrial safety, with experience using process equipment and or lab equipment.

Self-motivated, and able to work well under pressure.
