Support a young learner throughout the academic year as a dedicated 1:1 paraprofessional specializing in Braille support. This contract opportunity provides a unique chance to make a meaningful impact in a student's educational journey. Situated near Hanover, PA, the role runs from August 19, 2026, to May 26, 2027, with a schedule of 35-37.5 hours weekly, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Your focus will be on assisting a student actively learning and practicing Braille. No prior Braille knowledge is required—what matters most is your openness to learn and your commitment to supporting the student's progress. This position combines your paraprofessional expertise with purposeful, one-on-one engagement.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting
• Willingness to obtain a para certification within 60 days of hire if you do not have one, have fewer than 48 college credits, or do not hold an associate’s degree or higher
• Adaptable, patient, and eager to learn new skillsets
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
• Reliability and a supportive attitude are a must

Responsibilities:

• Work individually with a student to support Braille learning throughout the school day
• Assist in both academic tasks and daily activities as directed by instructional staff
• Track and communicate student progress to appropriate team members
• Provide encouragement while helping the student build independence
