Description

• Assess patients in either an inpatient or outpatient environment and devise tailored treatment plans
• Implement physical therapy interventions aimed at improving mobility, strength, balance, and overall function
• Work in tandem with nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation professionals to maximize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and their families about therapeutic objectives, discharge planning, and home exercise regimens
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
• Engage in interdisciplinary care team rounds and conferences to ensure synchronized patient care

Education

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution

Certifications

• State licensure as a Physical Therapist
• Preferred CPR certification
• Additional specialized certifications such as neurological or geriatric are advantageous but not essential

Skills

• Prior experience in the field is strongly preferred
• Competency in treating patients with intricate medical and mobility challenges
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills are crucial
