Warehouse Operations Engineer

job summary:
Distributer in St. Louis is seeking a Warehouse Operations Engineer to add to their team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (required) and previous experience with process engineering, layout and continuous improvement in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. This position will focus on improving existing facility efficiency and planning new facilities. Some travel required, about 25%. This is a bonus eligible position.

All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

responsibilities:

• Work with Senior leadership to improve internal processes and efficiency of 4 existing locations

• Analyze data to identify inefficiencies, reduce waste, and improve overall facility performance and cost structure

• Work with cross functional teams to implement system improvements

• Standardize best practices for all locations

Requirements:

• B.S. in Engineering required

• Previous continuous improvement, industrial or manufacturing engineering experience

• Solid analytical and problem solving skills

• Willingness to travel about 25% or less to other facility locations
