Step into a pivotal role supporting students and staff as a dedicated school psychologist through a full-time contract opportunity near Clarence, NY! In this position, you’ll provide essential psychological services to a diverse K-12 student population across the district, making a direct impact through assessments, counseling, and collaboration with educational teams. With a caseload including both general education and special education students—serving approximately 720 learners, 150 of whom have IEPs—you’ll have the chance to truly shape student success.
This opportunity begins as soon as possible, with flexible summer hours available prior to the official school year kickoff on September 2nd. Secure your spot early and familiarize yourself with students, families, and staff before the year begins.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification appropriate for K-12 roles
- Experience with conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results
- Previous work with IEP development and participation in multidisciplinary teams
- Strong skills in consultation, advocacy, and communication with students, educators, and families
- Ability to provide counseling and crisis intervention as needed
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and participate actively in IEP meetings
- Deliver consultative support to teachers and staff regarding behavioral and academic interventions
- Provide short-term counseling and intervention services for students
- Work closely with families and community resources to support student development
- Collaborate across grade levels to foster positive school climate and address barriers to learning
