Entry Level Diesel & Trailer Mechanic

Location: Morgantown, PA Job Id: R202679241 # of Openings: 1 FleeTec Academy is a paid educational program offered by Cox Fleet that trains participants to become full‑time Diesel and Trailer Technicians. Participants complete five weeks of full‑time classroom instruction, receive all travel expenses and a stipend, and then work under a Lead Technician for hands‑on training. Successful completion leads to a permanent mobile mechanic position. Program Highlights: Five weeks of paid classroom training; all travel expenses paid. Free technical education in diesel and trailer repair. Hands‑on training with an experienced Lead Technician in the local market. Full‑time mobile mechanic job offer upon completion. Competitive pay: $16 per hour (or state minimum wage, whichever is greater) plus a $250 stipend for the first week; $21 per hour after program completion; further progression available. Responsibilities as a Mobile Mechanic: Perform preventive maintenance and general repairs on trucks and trailers at customer locations. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues. Maintain accurate work reports and service documentation. Adhere to safety and quality standards at all times. Qualifications: Desire to start a career as a Diesel and Trailer Technician. Willingness and ability to study hard during the five‑week training. Ready to dedicate five weeks away from home for training. Maturity to focus on the task; this is not a summer camp. Technical aptitude and passion for working on vehicles. Ability to operate an iPad. Must be 21 years or older to operate company trucks. High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
