Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a meaningful opportunity supporting students as a skilled Deaf/Hard of Hearing educator in an onsite, itinerant capacity. This position spans multiple school sites, offering the chance to work directly with students and collaborate with dedicated educational teams. The contract runs from August 10, 2026, to June 4, 2027, providing engaging work across the academic year with a weekly commitment of 37.5 hours.

Your expertise as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing will be instrumental in shaping access to learning for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. You'll be joining an environment that values professionalism and teamwork, with a schedule that supports work-life balance.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid and active Deaf/Hard of Hearing certification/license in California (required)
• Experience working in California schools strongly preferred
• Demonstrated organizational skills and strong communication abilities
• Previous experience supporting diverse caseloads within educational settings
• Commitment to in-person instruction; this role will not be virtual or VOCO

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instructional support and services to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students at multiple school locations
• Collaborate with general and special education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
• Assess students’ needs and tailor instruction to promote access to core curriculum
• Advocate for accessible learning and offer consultation on accommodations and assistive technology
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and contribute to IEP processes
