Job Description:

Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit responsible for providing intermediate care to patients, including those downgraded from CVICU. The role involves supporting the thoracic program, EP, cath lab, and structural heart procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care for patients with common cardiac and vascular diagnoses, such as Cath Lab, CVAs, CHF, A fib RVR.
• Titrate medications, including Amio, nitro, nicardipine, epi, and cardizem for blood pressure management.
• Interpret and monitor telemetry to ensure patient stability.
• Adhere to unit policies, including no artificial nails and successfully complete open book examination during orientation.

Requirements:

• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with the relevant patient population.
• Driver's license required at submittal to verify 50-mile radius rule.
• Ability to float to various units as needed.
