The Armed Security Officer is responsible for providing a higher level of protection for the staff, patients, and visitors. Protect the patients and the staff by utilizing effective armed security patrols. Protect and safeguard hospitals assets. Member of the fire control team/protect fire scene. Investigate and document security incidents. Assigned to special assignment that requires an armed security presence.

Requirements, experience, and qualifications: HS diploma or equivalent. New York state driver's license. Active New York state armed security guard license. Annual firearms requalification. Possess a valid pistol carry permit listing the possession of a 9mm. Current BLS provider certification from the American Heart Association required within three months of hire. Prior law enforcement/security/fire safety experience.

Physical demands: Prolonged periods of standing and walking.

Anticipated pay range: The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established based on relevant experience. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents SBSH's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
