Ideal candidates will have experience in both medical-surgical and psychiatric nursing, capable of managing high-acuity patients and facilitating therapeutic interventions. Patient Population: Depression, suicidal ideation, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder Geriatric patients with multiple medical comorbidities Total care patients requiring close monitoring Key Responsibilities: Provide direct care for patients with psychiatric and medical needs Facilitate therapeutic groups and treatment planning Manage patients under voluntary and involuntary status Administer medications and monitor responses Implement safety protocols including restraints and seclusion as necessary Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for patient-centered care Requirements Active Connecticut RN License Minimum 2 years psychiatric nursing experience BLS required CPI or CMT certification Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of behavioral health experience Experience with geriatric and dementia care Background in med/surg nursing helpful Additional Details High-acuity geriatric psychiatric unit Rotating weekends and holidays 12.5-hour day shifts Contact HumanEdge Health HumanEdge Travel Healthcare Job ID #17903.
