Job Title: Labor and Delivery Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1+ years License: RN License required in Tennessee Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN, BLS, NRP Must-Have: - Labor and Delivery experience - Fetal monitoring experience Description: Candidates must be able to perform duties in the Labor and Delivery, Nursery, and Post-Partum Units. The facility has 2 labor beds and 3 postpartum beds. The patient ratios are 1:2. Electronic Health Record system used is Meditech. The patient population includes maternity patients and newborns. This position requires a positive attitude, cooperation, and initiative. Weekly guaranteed hours are 36. Every other weekend shifts may be required. Call requirements include 3 (12-hour shifts) per 4-week schedule. Preferred skills include PALS and experience with Centricity and Meditech. Common diagnoses and treatments involve labor and postpartum care. Dress code is scrubs, with flexibility on color. Unacceptable attire includes casual clothing and other facility apparel. This position is a replacement for permanent staff.
