Western States Lodging & Management is seeking a strategic, results-driven Director of Sales to lead revenue generation and sales strategy for a portfolio of hotel properties in Kapolei and the West Oahu market.This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality sales leader who enjoys building relationships, developing business, leading teams, and driving measurable results across multiple properties in a dynamic Hawaii market.What's in it for you- Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive Annual PayThe starting rate is based on experience and qualifications. This position participates in our compensation program, which provides opportunities for future pay growth based on performance and career development.401(k) with a dollar-for-dollar company match up to 4%Hotel discounts at select Western States Lodging & Management propertiesEligible full-time associates are entitled to the following:Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance plans plus Health Savings Account (HSA) optionsOptional supplemental benefits, including accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, and other coverage options.Personal Time Off (PTO) and Vacation benefitsWhat You'll DoDrive Revenue & Business GrowthDevelop and execute sales strategies tailored to the Kapolei and West Oahu marketGrow occupancy, average daily rate, and overall revenue across assigned hotelsIdentify and pursue new business opportunities across corporate, group, leisure, government, and extended-stay segmentsDevelop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, businesses, organizations, and community partnersMonitor local market conditions, demand trends, and competitive activity to identify opportunitiesParticipate in annual budgeting, forecasting, and revenue planningLead & Support Sales TeamsProvide direction, coaching, and support to property-level sales team membersEstablish clear sales goals and expectations and hold teams accountable for resultsSupport the hiring, onboarding, training, and development of sales talentShare best practices and encourage consistent sales execution across the portfolioBuild a positive, collaborative, and results-focused sales cultureTrack Performance & Improve ResultsReview weekly and monthly sales activity, pacing, account production, and pipeline performanceAnalyze sales and hotel performance reports to identify gaps and opportunitiesDevelop action plans to improve production, revenue, and market shareCommunicate sales results, trends, and recommendations to company leadershipEnsure consistent execution of sales standards and strategies across all assigned propertiesCollaborate Across DepartmentsPartner with General Managers and property teams to align sales strategies with operational goalsCollaborate with revenue management and corporate leadership to maximize hotel performanceRepresent the hotel portfolio throughout the Kapolei, West Oahu, and greater Oahu business communityBuild relationships with local businesses, organizations, tourism partners, and key accountsServe as a bridge between corporate leadership and on-property sales teamsWhat We're Looking ForRequired:Degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience4+ years of hotel sales experience, including leadership responsibilitiesProven success developing business, growing revenue, and managing key accountsStrong understanding of hotel sales metrics, forecasting, and performance reportingExcellent communication, relationship-building, and leadership skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple propertiesWillingness to travel locally throughout the Oahu marketPreferred:Experience overseeing sales for multiple hotel propertiesExperience in the Hawaii hospitality marketFamiliarity with major hotel brands such as Marriott or HiltonBackground in revenue management, business development, or advanced hotel sales trainingEstablished relationships within the local corporate, group, tourism, or hospitality communityYou Know You're Successful When...You're successful when the portfolio consistently meets or exceeds revenue and sales goals, the sales pipeline remains strong and diversified, key accounts and community partnerships continue to grow, property sales teams are engaged and developing, and your strategies translate into measurable improvements in occupancy, rate, revenue, and market performance.About Western States Lodging & ManagementWestern States Lodging & Management is committed to creating exceptional hospitality experiences through a people-first approach.
