Summary for Director Magnet Program and Nurse Excellence:
- Oversees and collaborates with the Chief Nurse Executive (CNE) and Chief Nurse Officers (CNOs), on the assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of procedures in support of promoting nursing excellence, innovation, research, process improvement and an evidence-based practice environment.
- Acts as a liaison with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in all aspects of organizational Magnet® and Pathway to Excellence® status including interim reporting, demographics, application writing, and submitting documentation.
- Designs the Magnet® and Pathway to Excellence® program strategy and nurse recognition activities working collaboratively with the direct care nurses, nurse leaders, and ancillary leaders across the health system.
- In addition, contributes to the application and application submissions for the ANCC Practice Transition Accreditation Program™ (PTAP™) and the Well-Being Excellence Credential®.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Required Credentials: Registered Nurse (RN) OR Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License - State of Florida;
- Preferred: Nurse Executive or Nurse Leader Prof Certification.
- Required Education and Experience: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) OR Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) OR Master's in other healthcare related field (i.e., MBA, MHA, Masters in Nursing Education) AND 3 years in nursing leadership with MSN OR Doctorate's Nursing OR 4 years leadership with Masters in healthcare related AND 5 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting.
- Preferred Experience: Magnet® Program Director Experience OR Pathway to Excellence® Program Coordinator experience.
