Research Associate

Research Associate position in Baltimore supporting development and evaluation of liquid biopsy diagnostic technologies. The role involves performing laboratory assays, maintaining equipment, and contributing to validation and optimization of tissue and cell-free DNA analyses for regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Execute laboratory-based assays for development applications following GDP and PDP guidelines
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all laboratory work performed
• Perform quality control and routine maintenance on laboratory equipment
• Support verification, validation, and planning of product development studies
• Contribute to protocol development, procedural documentation, and operational improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or related life science
• Minimum 1+ years of laboratory experience in industry
• Next-generation sequencing (NGS) experience preferred
• CLIA/CAP experience of 2+ years preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure

Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 base
