Scientist - T Cell Biology

Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Wet Lab Scientist to support a high-priority discovery biology program focused on binder screening and functional validation for T-cell-based therapies. The successful candidate will perform primary T-cell engineering, flow cytometry, high-throughput screening, and functional assays to evaluate potential therapeutic candidates.

This role is ideal for a scientist with strong laboratory skills, experience working with primary human T cells, and the ability to execute experiments accurately in a fast-paced drug discovery environment.

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Isolate, culture, maintain, and expand primary human T cells from PBMCs.
\n
• Perform non-viral T-cell engineering using mRNA or transposon-based DNA systems.
\n
• Introduce genetic material into primary T cells using electroporation or nucleofection.
\n
• Execute high-throughput screening and functional validation assays.
\n
• Perform multicolor flow cytometry/FACS and analyze results using FlowJo.
\n
• Conduct T-cell activation, proliferation, and cytotoxicity assays.
\n
• Perform cytokine profiling using ELISA, MSD, or Luminex.
\n
• Maintain Jurkat cell lines and follow appropriate aseptic laboratory techniques.
\n
• Document experimental procedures, raw data, and protocol deviations in an Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN).
\n
• Present clear, data-driven updates to project teams.
\n

Required Qualifications

\n

\n
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Bioengineering, or a related biological science.
\n
• At least 2 years of hands-on wet-lab experience, preferably in an industry setting.
\n
• Hands-on experience isolating primary human T cells from PBMCs.
\n
• Strong flow cytometry acquisition and analysis skills, including FACS and FlowJo.
\n
• Experience with primary cell culture and aseptic laboratory techniques.
\n

Preferred Qualifications

\n

\n
• Non-viral cell engineering using mRNA or transposon-based DNA systems.
\n
• Electroporation or nucleofection experience.
\n
• T-cell activation, proliferation, and cytotoxicity assays.
\n
• Experience with IncuCyte, LDH release, CFSE, ELISA, MSD, or Luminex.
\n
• High-throughput screening or automated liquid-handling systems.
\n
• Experience maintaining Jurkat cell lines and using ELNs.
\n
