Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to serve as a scientific expert and strategic partner between the organization and the medical community. The MSL will establish and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), investigators, and academic institutions to communicate scientific and clinical information, support research initiatives, and provide medical insights that contribute to the successful development and commercialization of healthcare products.

The ideal candidate possesses strong scientific knowledge, exceptional communication skills, and experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and researchers.
• Present clinical and scientific data related to company products, therapeutic areas, and pipeline assets.
• Respond to unsolicited medical inquiries with accurate, balanced, and evidence-based scientific information.
• Support clinical trials by identifying investigators, facilitating site engagement, and assisting with study-related activities.
• Gather and communicate medical insights from the field to internal cross-functional teams, including Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Marketing, and Regulatory Affairs.
• Deliver scientific presentations at hospitals, academic institutions, conferences, advisory boards, and educational meetings.
• Support investigator-initiated studies (IIS) and collaborative research opportunities.
• Provide medical education and training to internal teams on disease states, products, and clinical evidence.
• Ensure all scientific interactions comply with company policies, industry regulations, and applicable healthcare compliance standards.
• Participate in national and regional medical congresses, symposiums, and professional meetings.
• Maintain current knowledge of therapeutic areas, clinical guidelines, scientific literature, and competitor activities.
• Collaborate with commercial teams while maintaining appropriate compliance boundaries.
• Document field activities, medical insights, and KOL interactions using CRM or Medical Affairs systems.
• Support product launches and lifecycle management activities from a medical perspective.

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), MD, DO, PhD, or other advanced life sciences degree.
• Master's degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, or related healthcare field may be considered depending on experience.
• 3+ years of experience in Medical Affairs, Medical Science Liaison, Clinical Research, or related pharmaceutical/biotechnology roles.
• Strong understanding of clinical research methodology and evidence-based medicine.
• Experience engaging healthcare professionals and Key Opinion Leaders.
• Excellent scientific presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and communicate complex clinical data.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms.
• Ability to travel extensively (up to 50-70%) based on territory requirements.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within assigned regions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Medical Science Liaison.
• Experience in oncology, cardiology, neurology, immunology, rare diseases, infectious diseases, endocrinology, or other specialty therapeutic areas.
• Knowledge of GCP, ICH guidelines, FDA regulations, and healthcare compliance requirements.
• Experience supporting clinical trials and investigator-initiated studies.
• Scientific publication or research experience.
• Familiarity with medical information systems and CRM applications.
• Strong networking and relationship management skills.
