Job Title: Registered Nurse – Pediatric Emergency Department
Location: Syracuse, NY
Type: Contract | 14 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 3 Shifts Per Week | 37.5 Hours Per Week

Pay Rate: $66 - $75/hour

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse – Pediatric Emergency Department for an exciting Travel or Local job in Syracuse, NY.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, high-quality nursing care in a Pediatric Emergency Department setting.

• Perform rapid and accurate patient assessment and triage for pediatric patients.

• Deliver care in a high-volume, high-acuity emergency environment.

• Manage emergency situations with strong clinical judgment and minimal supervision.

• Utilize EPIC Electronic Medical Records for documentation and patient management.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and timely patient care.

• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, trauma protocols, and nursing standards.

• Provide care during nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

• Ensure safe, compassionate, and family-centered pediatric care.

Required Qualifications

• Current New York State Registered Nurse License.

• Current BLS Certification.

• Minimum 2 years of recent Pediatric Emergency Department experience within the last 2 years.

• Formal Pediatric Triage Training with at least 1 year of experience.

• Strong pediatric acute care nursing skills.

• Ability to work in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center environment.

• Excellent clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Level I Trauma Center experience.

• Experience with EPIC EMR.

• TNCC Certification.

• TCRN Certification.

• Adult Emergency Department experience.

Additional Information

• Every other weekend required.

• Some holidays required.

• High-acuity Pediatric Emergency Department environment.
