Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Description

Job Summary:

The RN CVOR provides skilled nursing care in the cardiovascular operating room, supporting surgical teams before, during, and after procedures. This per diem role focuses on maintaining patient safety, adhering to clinical protocols, and ensuring readiness of the perioperative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for cardiovascular surgical procedures by completing preoperative assessments and documentation.
  
• Assist in maintaining sterile technique and supporting surgical workflow throughout the case.
  
• Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, escalating concerns to the provider as needed.
  
• Administer medications and manage infusions according to ordered protocols and unit standards.
  
• Coordinate perioperative care with surgeons, anesthesia, and multidisciplinary team members.
  
• Maintain accurate charting and ensure compliance with infection prevention and safety practices.
  Qualifications:
  
• Hold an active Registered Nurse license with verifiable status.
  
• Maintain current BLS certification.
  
• Maintain current ACLS certification.
  
• Maintain current PALS certification as applicable.
  
• Maintain NRP certification as applicable.
  
• Provide proof of MMR and Varicella vaccination (or compliant attestation of vaccination/declination).
