Audit Staff Accountant

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Audit Staff Accountant to join our office in Troy, Michigan. This role is ideal for individuals pursuing a career in audit and assurance who are eager to work with a variety of clients across multiple industries. As a Staff Accountant in the audit department, you will assist with the planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements while gaining valuable experience and mentorship. Responsibilities Assist in performing financial audits for a variety of clients including private companies, nonprofit organizations, and governmental entities Conduct testing of internal controls and substantive procedures in accordance with audit programs Prepare workpapers and documentation in compliance with professional standards Analyze financial statements and identify potential issues or risks Work closely with senior auditors and managers to meet engagement objectives and timelines Assist with preparing audit reports and presenting findings to management Develop an understanding of client businesses and maintain professional relationships Stay updated on U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and relevant industry regulations Qualifications Detail-oriented and motivated individual pursuing a career in audit and assurance, with the ability to work with a variety of clients across multiple industries. #J-18808-Ljbffr
