Base pay range $65,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Venteon Working Arrangement: Hybrid, 3 days/week in office; after training period Summary: The Staff Accountant is a versatile and detail-oriented professional responsible for supporting cross-functional accounting and finance team members and activities across multiple departments within the organization. This role plays a vital part in financial reporting, contract administration, invoicing, and process improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Perform job cost accounting for multiple construction projects Maintain the general ledger, accounts payable (A/P), and accounts receivable (A/R) Reconcile bank and credit card statements Track progress billing, change orders, and retention payments Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Ensure compliance with GAAP and industry-specific regulations Work closely with project managers to monitor project costs and profitability Prepare monthly and year-end financial statements and reports Handle audit preparation and support external auditors Use construction accounting software (e.g., Sage 300 CRE, QuickBooks, Viewpoint, or Procore) Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 1+ years of accounting experience in the construction industry Strong knowledge of job costing and WIP schedules Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software Excellent analytical and organizational skills Seniority level Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Employment type Full-time Job function Job function Accounting/Auditing Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Venteon by 2x Inferred from the description for this job Medical insurance Vision insurance Get notified about new Accountant jobs in Bloomfield Hills, MI .
