Material Handler

This Material Handler position is based on site in Romeoville, IL, working a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The role is offered as a temporary assignment with the opportunity to become permanent based on performance and business needs. The position focuses on supporting warehouse operations through safe and efficient material handling, including sit-down forklift operation, cherry picker use, and order picking activities. The successful candidate will contribute to inventory management, order accuracy, and warehouse safety while working collaboratively with a team. This opportunity is suited for candidates with at least one year of relevant warehouse experience who are forklift certified and comfortable working in a structured, fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do?

• Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently for loading, unloading, and transporting materials throughout the warehouse facility as directed.
• Use a cherry picker and order picker equipment to retrieve and place products accurately in designated storage locations or staging areas as required.
• Perform general warehouse duties including picking, packing, staging, and moving materials to support daily order fulfillment activities and workflows.
• Utilize an RF scanner to locate, scan, and verify products while maintaining accurate inventory records and minimizing picking or shipping errors.
• Follow established warehouse safety procedures and company guidelines while working collaboratively as a reliable team player to meet operational goals.

Your Skills

• Proficient forklift operation skills with demonstrated sit-down forklift experience and safe handling of materials in a warehouse environment.
• Material handling experience including loading, unloading, stacking, and moving products while maintaining accuracy and care for inventory.
• Inventory management awareness with the ability to use RF scanners and follow processes that support accurate stock counts and location control.
• Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices, including proper equipment use, safe lifting techniques, and adherence to procedural guidelines.
• High attention to detail with reliable teamwork and English communication skills to follow instructions and coordinate effectively with colleagues.
