Senior Staff Accountant

Supporting the Finance and Accounting function, the full-time Senior Staff Accountant will manage complex accounting activities in a government contracting environment, including financial reporting, month-end close processes, and compliance with applicable regulations, while working remotely but must be local to Huntsville, AL. Key responsibilities Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP Prepare internal and external financial statements and management reports to facilitate business decision-making Support government contract accounting activities, including billing, labor reconciliation, and audit preparation Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field Minimum of six years of accounting experience, including government contract accounting Proficiency with QuickBooks and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel Experience with FAR cost principles and DCAA accounting system requirements Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
