It is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all North Carolinians, providing human service needs for special populations including individuals who are deaf, blind, developmentally disabled, and mentally ill, and helping poor North Carolinians achieve economic independence.Description of WorkThe Physical Therapist will provide assessments and treatments per departmental and center policies/procedures for assigned caseload to include screenings, evaluations, consultations, planning and implementing Physical Therapy treatments and programs utilizing an interdisciplinary team process, or when a medical event has occurred requiring acute skills Physical Therapy services. Position will supervise Physical Therapy Assistants/Technicians to assist with service delivery to include delegating and teaching therapeutic techniques, monitoring treatment plans per licensure guidelines, provision of co-treatments with other disciplines, and changing goals/plans as evaluation indicates. The Physical Therapist will also assess in conjunction with Occupational Therapists seating systems, therapeutic equipment and support to promote mobility, optimal functioning, and safety and falls prevention, and complete comprehensive evaluations/assessments based on person center planning.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management PreferencesSalary Grade Range: $71,698 - $118,304Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement.The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required.
