Registered Nurse Operating Room

Job Summary:

• Assess patients’ health status and develop individualized care plans for surgical procedures.
  
  
• Administer medications, monitor anesthesia, and ensure sterile technique during surgeries.
  
  
• Collaborate with surgical teams to prepare the operating room and ensure all equipment is functional.
  
  
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any changes during the procedure.
  
  
• Educate patients and families about preoperative and postoperative care instructions.
  
  
• Document all nursing interventions and patient responses accurately in compliance with standards.
  Qualifications:
  
  
• Current RN license valid in Colorado or a compact state.
  
  
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  
  
• Minimum of 2 years of perioperative or operating room nursing experience.
  
  
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking and aseptic skills.
  
  
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  
  
• Excellent patient advocacy and communication skills.
