Building Maintenance Technician

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Building Maintenance Technician with a strong background in preventive and corrective maintenance within a manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience maintaining production equipment, particularly in wood truss manufacturing environments. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on manufacturing equipment Maintain and repair equipment such as: MiTek Wizard Tables Automated roller conveyor systems Component saws and precision cutting equipment Hydraulic and pneumatic systems Chain drives, bearings, motors, gearboxes, and conveyors Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues Conduct routine inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and equipment calibration Minimize downtime through effective preventive maintenance planning Read and interpret equipment manuals, mechanical drawings, and schematics Ensure all work is performed in compliance with OSHA and safety standards Collaborate with production teams to support operational efficiency Qualifications Experience in manufacturing maintenance required Strong knowledge of industrial equipment repair and troubleshooting Experience with MiTek truss manufacturing equipment highly preferred Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Welding and fabrication experience is a plus Strong commitment to safety and quality standards EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER: Surge is an equal opportunity employer.
