The Junior Associate Consultant (JAC) supports the Network Strategy team in developing and executing strategic initiatives that shape the future of the Mercedes-Benz USA retail network. During this 12-month assignment, the JAC will contribute to projects involving retail strategy, dealer performance measurement, dealer group strategy, framework agreements, network studies, brand representation, Top-End Vehicle initiatives, and global network topics.

Working closely with team members and cross-functional stakeholders across Executive Management, Network Development, Sales, Customer Services, Legal, Finance, IT, Marketing/Digital House, and global network teams, the JAC will conduct research, perform data analysis, prepare executive-ready presentations, coordinate project activities, and help translate strategic concepts into actionable recommendations. The role is designed to provide hands-on exposure to dealer network operations, performance management, retail transformation, and strategic project implementation.

Responsibilities

Brand Representation and Network Innovation (45%)

• Support initiatives related to dealership brand representation, retail standards, and network readiness.
• Support studies evaluating future retail formats and network development opportunities.
• Track progress and support implementation of strategic network and brand initiatives, including AMG, Maybach, and G-Class programs.
• Conduct network analyses, data collection, research, and vendor coordination to support strategic planning.
• Research industry trends, emerging retail concepts, and best practices to identify opportunities for network growth and optimization.
• Gather and synthesize stakeholder feedback to support business recommendations and implementation strategies.

Dealer Network Strategy, Performance & Partner Development (40%)

• Support cross-departmental dealer network strategy, transformation, and development initiatives focused on transformation, profitability, franchise value, and preparedness for emerging business opportunities and industry disruption.
• Analyze dealership and dealer group performance using key business metrics and KPIs.
• Conduct industry research, competitive benchmarking, and market analysis.
• Develop reporting, scorecards, presentations, and management summaries to support performance tracking and decision-making.
• Research dealer groups, ownership structures, acquisitions, and network activity.
• Support Framework Agreement administration, performance tracking, and strategic reviews.
• Develop data-driven insights and recommendations to improve network performance, profitability, and franchise value.

Cross-Functional Coordination & Global Network Support (15%)

• Coordinate project activities, stakeholder communications, and deliverables.
• Support global cross-functional network strategy initiatives.
• Assist with the localization of global network programs for the U.S. market.
• Support vendor management and special project activities.
• Present analyses and recommendations to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

Education and Availability

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automotive Management, Business Administration, Data Science/Analytics, Economics, Finance, Marketing Communications or a related discipline.
• Available for the full 12-month assignment and able to work within the applicable hybrid and weekly-hour requirements established for the JAC program.
• Authorized to work in the United States in accordance with company requirements.

Experience

• Prior internship, academic project, leadership activity, or work experience in business, analytics, strategy, project management, automotive, or a related field preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct research, analyze data, and communicate insights and recommendations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reporting, and visualization; experience with dashboard development is preferred.
• Experience creating presentations, reports, or other business materials for academic or professional audiences.
• Familiarity with AI-powered tools and technologies for research, data analysis, productivity, or content development is preferred.
• Exposure to automotive, retail, dealership operations, sustainability, or related industries is a plus, but not required.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with VBA, Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI, or similar analytical tools is a plus.
