Member Service Representative

Des Moines Metro Locations | M-F 8 am – 5 pm | every other Saturday 9am – 12 pm Be the face of Premier Credit Union! We are looking for a reliable, friendly, and detail-oriented Member Service Representative to deliver a welcoming and efficient experience for every member who walks through our doors. This is a great entry-level opportunity to start a career in financial services - no banking experience required. We will train the right person. WHAT YOU WILL DO Process routine financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, payments, and account inquiries with accuracy and attention to detail Greet members and respond to questions or concerns with professionalism and care Maintain cash drawer accuracy and follow established procedures for balancing, security, and compliance Educate members and promote credit union products and services. Refer members to the right team members or services when additional support is needed Support daily branch operations and contribute to a smooth workflow Collaborate with teammates to ensure consistent service and a positive, respectful team environment Participate in training and development opportunities to grow your skills and career Pitch in on other operational tasks as needed Communicating with members using service channels including phones, live teller machines, email, text, and secure messaging. WHAT YOU WILL BRING High school diploma or equivalent Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Friendly and professional communication skills Tact and composure when working with customers Willingness to learn and grow in a team-oriented environment Comfortable educating members and promoting products and services Comfortable using computers Previous customer service or cash-handling experience is a plus, but not required Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
