Assistant Project Manager - Commercial / Industrial Construction

We are seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the successful execution of commercial and industrial construction projects throughout the Tampa area. This role will work closely with Project Managers and field teams to assist with scheduling, subcontractor coordination, project documentation, budgeting, and overall project execution from preconstruction through closeout. The ideal candidate will have experience working on ground-up and/or tenant improvement commercial or industrial projects and thrive in a fast-paced construction environment. Responsibilities Assist Project Managers with daily management of commercial and industrial construction projects Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and field personnel Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and project documentation Support project scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking Help maintain project timelines and ensure milestones are achieved Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, safety, and quality control Assist with procurement of materials and equipment Coordinate with architects, engineers, owners, and inspectors Support project closeout activities including punch lists and turnover documentation Maintain accurate records using construction management software such as Procore or Bluebeam Requirements 2+ years of experience in commercial and/or industrial construction Experience working for a General Contractor preferred Knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and project coordination Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction software #J-18808-Ljbffr
