Patient Transporter Location: 211Church Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 Employment Type: Full Time Shift/Schedule: Evening Shift (3:00PM - 11:00PM) Department: Patient Transports Salary Range: $17.25 - $24.63/hour based on experience and qualifications -#shift differential applies! About the Role We#re looking for a dedicated Patient Transporter to join our team and help us continue delivering the level of care our patients and families deserve. In this role, you#ll be a vital part of our support#team, ensuring excellent service, collaboration, and patient outcomes in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Transporters assume#responsibility for transporting patients and materials within the hospital and nursing home.# Transporters assess inventories and fills over the counter General Stores products correctly and efficiently. What You#ll Do Safely transport#patients and materials (to include blood and specimens) within the hospital and nursing home## Delivers Code Blue Crash Carts, Latex Carts and Urology Catheter Carts as needed Employs safe lifting techniques when transporting patients to and from beds, exam tables, stretchers and wheelchairs Sets up different types of traction for patient use Transports deceased patients to the morgue Picks up requisitions for blood, pharmacy meds and slips from required units and delivers to the appropriate service; delivers stat, lab specimens, and medical charts Inventories and exchanges oxygen cylinder and other gas tanks to maintain patient needs Inventories and fills over the counter General Stores products correctly and efficiently Perform responsibilities with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency Use hospital systems and tools to document care and support operations Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and support patient and staff satisfaction What You Bring High school graduate or GED equivalent required# experience working in a hospital environment preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills Commitment to providing patient-first, high-quality service Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Must be able to multitask while remaining professional, focused, composed and positive Must be able to establish an appropriate and effective rapport with others Must be flexible to take initiative and embrace new opportunities to grow both personally and organizationally Problem solving skills Effective interpersonal skills Ability to work as part of a team and independentl.
