Payroll Specialist

Job Overview

Insight Global is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support accurate and timely payroll processing while providing a high level of service to employees and internal business partners. This individual will assist with payroll transactions, employee inquiries, payroll data validation, reporting, and issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Support preparation and processing of employee payroll.
• Review payroll data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies prior to processing.
• Process payroll-related changes such as new hires, terminations, compensation changes, deductions, and other employee updates.
• Research and respond to employee questions regarding pay, deductions, taxes, and other payroll matters.
• Review timesheet and payroll information and follow up on missing or inaccurate data.
• Assist with payroll reconciliations, audits, reporting, and documentation.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and employee information.
• Partner with HR, Finance, managers, and other internal stakeholders to resolve payroll-related issues.
• Follow established payroll procedures, controls, and confidentiality requirements.
• Identify recurring issues and opportunities to improve payroll processes.
• Provide additional payroll and administrative support as needed.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 5-6+ years of payroll, accounting, or closely related experience
• Working knowledge of payroll processes and basic accounting principles
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential employee and payroll information appropriately
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with HR, Finance, and other internal teams
