As a Security Officer Patrol Presence Agent in Chicago, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors through strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, campus policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant details with campus contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout academic buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, check credentials when required, and assist with directing foot and vehicle traffic during classes, events, and other busy periods at the location.
• Support a professional campus environment by reporting maintenance issues, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior, and by following post orders and communication protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
