Support Staff Posting Position: Food Service Substitute

Posting Dates: May 17, 2024 Until Filled

Reports To: Food Service Director

Beginning: As Soon As Possible

Hours: Various hours School days as early as 6 a.m. and no later than 2 p.m.

Qualifications:

• Some experience working in food service environment preferred
• Experience working with children preferred
• ServSafe certified preferred

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and service of school meals
• Assist with daily cleaning of kitchen, cafeteria and food service equipment
• Monitor children in the cafeteria to ensure safety and order
• Other duties as assigned

Other:

• Will generally know several days in advance when and where work is assigned
• On occasion, may be called the same day
• Must be flexible with scheduling
• Physically demanding work
• Must be able to lift, carry, push and or pull 20-50 pounds

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction
• Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position
• Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm
• Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word
• Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction
• Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
• The worker is subject to environmental conditions
• The worker should provide consistent and reliable attendance
