Guest Room Attendant
Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a local hotel in the Morris, IL area to hire a dedicated Guest Room Attendant. This position plays a key role in creating an exceptional guest experience by maintaining clean, comfortable, and welcoming guest rooms and public areas.
Pay Rate
$15.75 - $17.00 per hour
Schedule
Open availability required Sunday through Friday Hours may vary based on hotel occupancy and business needs.
Job Responsibilities
- Clean and service guest rooms according to hotel standards and procedures
- Make beds, change linens, and replenish room amenities
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including showers, tubs, sinks, mirrors, and toilets
- Dust, vacuum, sweep, and mop guest rooms and assigned areas
- Remove trash and transport used linens to designated collection areas
- Restock towels, toiletries, and guest supplies
- Inspect rooms for cleanliness, damage, maintenance concerns, and safety hazards
- Report maintenance issues, lost-and-found items, and suspicious activity promptly
- Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Provide friendly and professional service to guests when needed
- Assist with cleaning hallways, common areas, and other assigned housekeeping duties
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous housekeeping, hotel, janitorial, or cleaning experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Ability to maintain guest privacy and confidentiality
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
- Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and reach
- Push and pull housekeeping carts and cleaning equipment
- Lift and carry up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally
- Perform repetitive movements throughout the workday
