Diesel MechanicWe are seeking a skilled diesel mechanic in the Forest Park area of Ohio. Founded in 1937, it has grown through a focus on innovation, sustainability, and customer-driven service, supplying materials for construction projects across its regional market.What's in it for you?Medical, vision, and dental insurance.401k at 4% matchCompany provided tools64 hours PTO 1st year (prorated with hire date). 3 weeks PTO after first year.$10,000 company paid life insurance.Diesel Mechanic Details:Direct hire position$28.00 to $35.00 / hourFull time work availableFirst shift (Monday through Friday)Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery.Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.Properly diagnose malfunctions. Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers specifications.Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.Keep all DOT inspections on all trucks and trailers current.Diesel Mechanic Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years of training and/or experience as a truck/trailer mechanic.Knowledge of DEF systems a plus!Valid driver's license, Class A license a plus!Applicant may be subject to a background checkPre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employmentA conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
