Technical Underwriting Manager - Inland Marine

Inland Marine Underwriter

Under general oversight, underwrite and manage a profitable Inland Marine book of business, with a primary focus on construction-related mobile property and specialized inland marine risks. Evaluate complex new and renewal business, apply sound underwriting judgment, and build lasting relationships with agency partners to drive profitable growth.

This individual contributor role offers significant underwriting autonomy and market visibility while partnering closely with agents and brokers to develop business within RLI's Inland Marine appetite. Success in this role requires strong technical underwriting expertise, relationship management skills, and the ability to identify profitable opportunities in a competitive marketplace.

Base Pay Range: $113,358.00 - $165,220.00

The base salary is only one component of our robust total rewards package at RLI. The salary offered will take into account a number of factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications/credentials, talent availability & specialization, as well as business needs. The below range may be modified in the future.
