Position Description Lecturer positions to teach courses during the 2026-2027 academic year. Compensation and duration of appointment depend on the number of courses assigned and units per course. Assignment periods: Fall Quarter 2026: Sep 21 – Dec 11 2026; Winter Quarter 2027: Jan 4 – Mar 19 2027; Spring Quarter 2027: Mar 25 – Jun 10 2027. Responsibilities Teach one or more undergraduate or graduate courses in Environmental Science and Policy and/or Environmental Policy and Management. May be asked to teach one to two courses per year depending on programmatic need and availability. Qualifications Appropriate professional degree: Doctorate or Master’s degree with professional success and recognition for excellence; or 30 units of graduate coursework with similar professional success and recognition. Demonstrated teaching ability; developing record of scholarly or professional achievement in an area of expertise related to the course subject. Project Management Experience. University level teaching experience highly desired. General Information Temporary lecturers are selected to fill specialized positions requiring professional and academic expertise. Positions and requirements may vary each year. Salary Commensurate with qualifications, education, and experience.
